Dévo Canada provides employers and candidates alike the opportunity to locate and hire authorized immigration representatives, whether they are consultants or lawyers certified and governed by The Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC). They can help and represent candidates throughout the immigration process.

Dévo Canada focuses on three immigration programs: 

​

  1. Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)

  2. International Experience Canada (IEC): Working Holiday, Young Professional, International Co-op

  3. International Mobility Program (IMP): Mobilité Francophone

International Mobility Program (IMP): Mobilité Francophone

​

The International Mobility Program allows Canadian employers to recruit foreign nationals without a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). 

The French Mobility, or Mobilité Francophone, provides Canadian employers with a faster process for hiring foreign nationals. The purpose was to promote francophone immigration in the francophone minority communities.

​

To be qualified, candidates must be French-speaking or bilingual skilled worker who intends to work in a Francophone community outside Quebec, uses French on a daily basis, and will work in a job at a National Occupation Code (NOC) skill level of 0, A or B.

​

Candidates do not have to work in French to be eligible for this permit. However, the Canadian government requires candidates to complete language testing after submitting an application. Candidates must get a “score of 7 on the TEF: Test d’évaluation de français (available in French only) or the Test de connaissance du français (TCF).

​

While completing the application, candidates should provide a letter of explanation that briefly explains how he or she meet these requirements.

​

Before submitting a work permit application, the employer must:

​

  • submit an offer of employment to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

  • pay a $230 employer compliance fee, and

  • provide candidates with an offer of employment number.

 

How to apply:

​

If this is a candidates first work permit under an LMIA exemption for Francophones working outside Quebec, and:

​

  • He or she is outside Canada

  • their  job is at a NOC skill level of 0 or A

 

The Canadian government recommends that he or she apply online as he or she may be able to benefit from two-week processing.

Candidate must:

Two-week processing
​

If the candidates job is at the NOC 0 (managerial, executive) or NOC A (professional) level, he or she may benefit from the Global Skills Strategy’s two-week application processing.

​

Applying from inside Canada

​

If candidate is

​

​

He or she can apply to extend or change the conditions on your work permit.

​

If the candidate is applying for his or her first work permit under this LMIA exemption from inside Canada or when you enter Canada he or she should include their language test results with your application. If the officer is not satisfied that the candidate has met the language requirements, their application may be refused.

International Experience Canada (IEC)

​

International Experience Canada (IEC) is a program that provides young people with the opportunity to travel and work in Canada. This program is composed of three categories: Working Holidays, Young Professionals, and International Co-op.
